Welcome to the USPSA Tampa Thunder website. The Tampa Thunder is Florida's premier Power Soccer team located in Safety Harbor, Florida. Power Soccer is a type of soccer played by persons in motorized wheelchairs. Power Soccer athletes are of any age and have a wide variety of disabilities!

TEAM USA ATHLETES ANNOUNCED!
Twenty athletes from across the country met in Whitestown, Indiana, Nov. 19-21st to demonstrate their skill and determination in an effort to be chosen for the next Team USA. Twelve athletes were chosen to continue their training for the next 18 months where the field of twelve will be narrowed to eight athletes, with four alternates. This team will compete in the 2011 World Cup.

The Tampa Thunder sent three of its' best athletes to this training camp: Ben Carpenter, Ryan Coton and Danny Gorman. After three grueling days of competitive drills and games the final 12 were chosen. Although Ben and Ryan fought hard and played exceptionally well they were unfortunately not chosen this time. Danny Gorman was chosen as one of the final 12 and The Thunder is behind him 100% in TeamUSA's quest to once again become World Champions. |
